Our Summer on the Farm program brings children ages 5-10 to Stone Acres Farm where Yellow Farmhouse educators help them pick, taste, and cook fresh produce.
Over the course of eight summer weeks, we visit the laying hens, measure the temperature of the compost piles, inspect milkweed for monarch caterpillars, dissect flowers to see how their parts are designed, harvest and compare seeds, and much much more.
Each week includes a cooking/tasting activity, utilizing farm-fresh ingredients and engaging recipes.
