Field Trips
The Yellow Farmhouse collaborates with schools to provide experiential learning programs, on and off the farm, for students of all ages - preschool through college. All programs explore connection between food and farms, through age appropriate and seasonal hands-on kitchen and farm aactivities. Programs can be customized to meet grade level and content specific goals including topics and activities such as:

$100 for up to 25 students
All ages

Pre-K through high school
1.5 hour visit
$250 for up to 25 students
6th–12th grade and college
3 hour visit
$400 for up to 25 students
The Yellow Farmhouse works with schools and districts to create customized programs specific to their needs. We also work with local restaurants to curate career focused experiences for culinary and business classes.
Schedule your trip with us!Yellow Farmhouse is located on Stone Acres Farm, a working farm in Stonington, CT. Students and chaperones should wear clothes and shoes that they don’t mind getting wet or muddy. We will only cancel scheduled trips for severe weather forecasts so appropriate attire is advised.
We ask that special needs accommodations and/or allergy or food restrictions are shared with us at least a week ahead of your visit. If you have a trip scheduled, download the pre-trip information that includes travel directions, FAQ, and a campus map to assist with parking.

Our plug-and-play curriculum includes a semester-long course as well as shorter units that provides content exploring regenerative agriculture, food culture, food justice, and climate change.
